Task1 Reflections
I chose the Section XII, what I found was consequent is that "'(Social) space is a (social) product', 'space has taken on a sort of reality of its own'", the present mode of production is how society currently functions. It's like how society now functions in an economic sense (i.e. capitalism), and expands on what circumstance that space can take on another reality of its own. It's saying that space can take on another reality of its own during current society, it's not entirely realistic, but it's also not not reality, it's a more theoretical one.
In Lefebvre's implications that space is something taking charge by someone who has the high power who can rule people (the mental space?)and enslave them. And this is the abstract space. On the other hand, space can be related to something more real and concrete like the commodity to trade with others. And then, it mentions the social space is indistinguishable from the mental space and the physical space can be defined as the perception of nature. Also, social space is an aggregate of many parts (like sensory or phenomenon?); even these parts can be switched or replaced.
